The initiative may be about learning, but tech makes it work!
- Do an RFP based on what you want to do with it, not tech
- Give laptops to everyone
- Avoid the platform wars
- Seek out a tech lead who can insure the system works so teachers can teach and kids can learn
- Seek out a "We'll Make It Work" team
- Use kids - iTeams
- Realize that breakage is about school culture, leadership, pedagogy, & engagement

Converting old infrastructure.
Battery power.
Storage within the school - store and overnight (solved by mandating taking home)
Furniture not appropriate for laptops.
Home access via proxies - power and control issues with techs.
Keeping up with repairs.
Sufficient bandwidth.
